We recently had Jamie Gates and her team from Gates Construction Company replace the roof on our lake house, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. They did a fabulous job! The quality of their work is outstanding, and their professionalism was evident every step of the way.

At 5:15 AM on Sunday, May 26th, 2024, Peggy was closing our house and shutting off the water to the house, preparing to leave for Colorado. The sound of a big tree limb breaking brought everything to a halt. Robert was in Colorado working his summer job when she called that things were BAD. Our 100 foot tall American elm had dropped a limb on the house. As it rolled down the roof it forced branches through the roof, also through the ceiling in one place in our bedroom.
Robert called a friend who has a roofing business in Austin. He recommended Jamie Gates. He had worked with her and knew her to be hardworking and honest. She answered the phone that Sunday (Memorial Day weekend). Her team came out the next day (Memorial Day itself) and patched the roof. Not with a blue tarp, but with rubber patches that went under the upper shingle and over the shingle below, effectively sealing the hole. This method works! We got 7-8 inches of rain that week but not a drop in the house.
Jamie worked with Peggy to get the insurance company on board with the necessary repairs. She was our advocate. And Boy! did we need her. They did not want to give us a much needed new roof but Jamie convinced them it was necessary.
Her team did excellent work. They also were very clean, did not leave behind nails, roofing bits or trash. We can't thank her enough for the job she did for us, for the roof and associated damage, dealing with the insurance, and giving us the support we needed. Highly Recommend!!!!!

Could not recommend Jamie and crew enough! She stays on top of the work, easy to communicate with, fast and efficient, loyal to her customers, and provides open and honest work. Was having issues with what we thought was a roof leak and Jamie’s response time was within minutes of messaging her and sent someone over to check it out within minutes!! Incredible, can’t thank or recommend GRAC enough!
Our roof was in dire need of replacement. Jamie and her team got us fixed up! We had such an amazing experience getting everything setup before they came out and put a new roof on our home. It all started with a free inspection!
